Career
Services facilitates student and alumni exploration of professional and
educational opportunities that contribute to a purposeful and enriching
life. To this end, the Office provides
the following: a variety of presentations, workshops, and other relevant events;
career advising and assistance with job applications; job postings; targeted
job search strategies; graduate/professional school counseling and application
guidance (including program research, evaluation, and personal statement
development); coaching and outreach; interview techniques and mock interviews;
resume and CV assistance; and a network of beneficial professional contacts. Career Services hosts an annual Career Fair
with potential employers and professional school programs, an Etiquette Dinner to
teach the finer points of professional networking and dining protocol, and
graduate/professional school recruiter visits throughout the year. The Career Services library (SLTC 2nd
floor) contains books and other resources relating to careers, graduate/professional
programs, study guides for an array of graduate-level standardized admissions
tests, financial aid, job seeking, career planning, hiring trends, resumes for
liberal arts students and alumni, and networking. More information can be found at
