I.4.h. Department and Program Staff Requests

Departments who have non-faculty staff positions that need to be replaced due to resignations or retirements will need to request replacements through the Provost.  Department chairs should let the Provost know as soon as possible so that planning for this process may begin.  Since these positions differ in terms of who the staff serve, the procedure will vary as needed; however, in all cases there will be a job description update, a job ad that needs to be approved by the Provost and Human Resources, and a search committee made up of appropriate faculty, staff and students.  On campus interviews will be held in accordance with procedure as determined in collaboration with Human Resources.
