Fall 2026 Opening and Arrival Information
Residence facilities at Hendrix College will open for returning students on Sunday, August 23, 2026. You may check in between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. that day. Check-in will take place on the 1st floor of the SLTC, next to the Amazon Packages Hub. Please make sure to have your student id available, as you will need it to get into the interior residential buildings.
On Saturday, August 22, 2026, every residential facilities at Hendrix College will be closed. With that said, no approvals will be made on Saturday, August 22, 2026.
If you are involved in any of the following you will NOT need to request permission to arrive early on your scheduled date as your Supervisor has sent your name and arrival schedule. If you have doubts about being on their list, please check with your Supervisor or Coach that they have made a request on your behalf. If you need to come before your scheduled early arrival, you must fill out the early arrival form.

- Orientation Leaders
- Orientation Peer Leaders
- Resident Assistants
- Any other OFFICIAL Hendrix-related activity or work: please specify.
If you are NOT connected to any of the groups on the list, but have an extenuating circumstance that requires you to arrive early, you must complete an Early Arrival Request Form.
Hendrix Housing Early Arrival Request Form - Closed on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
The deadline to apply is Thursday, August 13 by 5pm. Please note that completing an application does not grant you an automatic early arrival approval. Final decisions will be sent to applicants on a rolling basis. All applicants will hear of a decision as soon as possible.
For those approved, a $25 per day fee will be charged to the student moving in before the approved move-in date set for them by the College. Anyone requesting an early arrival after the deadline date, may receive an additional $125 late request charge on their student account. A late request, as well as any request does not guarantee an early arrival approval.
