Bill Fox received a Master of Theology degree from the Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University and went on to receive an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in literature and theology at Emory University in Atlanta. Fox taught and served at Emory as an administrator in his academic department until 1979 when he was appointed Dean of Campus Life and later Vice President and Dean of Campus. Fox was named Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement in 1998 and served in that position until 2004, when he resigned to become the Senior Vice President for External Affairs. Fox held that position until he retired from Emory and now holds the title of Senior Vice President for External Affairs Emeritus.
