Possible Degree Path – starting in the first year.  The following is a typical major plan for the 12 courses in the major.  This is not the only way forward.  Please consult with your advisor to create your unique path.

First Year

Recommended: Precalculus (MATH 120)  or Calculus I (MATH 130)

Sophomore
  • Principles of Accounting I (BUSI 200)
  • Microeconomic Theory (ECON 200)
  • Principles of Statistics (BUSI 250)
  • Principles of Accounting II (BUSI 210)
  • Macroeconomic Theory (ECON 210)
Junior

Possibly 3-4 of Economics and Business major electives:

  • 300 – level or above Economics electives
  • 300 - level or above Business/Accounting electives 
Senior Corporate Finance (ECON 410)

Senior Capstone

Complete remaining Economics and Business major electives as necessary with:

  • 300 – level or above Economics electives
  • 300 - level or above Business/Accounting electives
