Citing Electronic Resources

Guidelines

  • Look for the source of your document:  did you find it through a search engine?  a library database?  an email?

  • Ask your professor which style he or she wants you to use for citing your resources.

  • Use the guidelines laid out on this web site to the best of your ability.

  • Remember:   you want the person reading your paper to be able to find your sources - that's all there is to citing information!

  • If in doubt, cite!  Don't fall victim to plagiarism.
