Biography

Brian Williams is the Director of Public Safety for Hendrix College. He graduated from Conway High School in 1994 and has lived in or around Conway since 1990. Brian began his law enforcement career at the Conway Police Department in 1997, where he transferred to the Detective Division after four years. During The 18 years spent as a Detective, Brian was assigned to several federal task forces with the U.S. Secret Service, the F.B.I., and the U.S. Marshall Office, where he conducted Digital Forensic Examinations, investigated human trafficking, and educated parents and students on the dangers of social media. After 22 years at C.P.D. Brian retired from Law Enforcement and began his career serving educators and students in Arkansas, first with K-12 Charter Schools, providing Facilities and Security Management in the Little Rock and Pine Bluff areas. Brian also served as a City Councilman for the City of Mayflower for four terms, was a volunteer firefighter, and is a board member of P.A.W.S., a non-profit animal rescue group. Brian and his wife Cindy live on Lake Conway with their pets, where he enjoys outdoor cooking and gatherings. Emilee, "Daughter," is studying Biology at U.C.A., and Nicholas, "Son," is the pilot for Harding University, where he is an Alumni. Brian's hobbies include playing and listening to Music on his bass guitar or drums and cooking.
