Biography

A native of Memphis, TN, Professor Horne is an educator, stage director, and producer.  His background includes training in the areas of musical theatre, directing, dance, movement, voice, and arts management.  His has many creative research interests including African American Theatre, LGBTQ+ Theatre, and Musical Theatre.

Within the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance, Professor Horne serves as the primary teacher of stage directing, voice/movement, and musical theatre history.   He directs shows and oversees front of house activities for Hendrix Players (the producing arm of the department). In addition, he choreographs both intimacy and contemporary stage violence for the productions.

Hendrix Players present ‘Up, Down, Strange, Charmed, Beauty, and Truth’

The Hendrix Players will offer three performances of the 2025 Senior Seminar production “Up, Down, Strange, Charmed, Beauty, and Truth” by Edward Allan Baker. Showtimes are April 24 and 25 at 7:30 p.m. and April 26 at 2 p.m. in Cabe Theatre.
