Olin C. Bailey Library

Library Research Classroom Instruction

The librarians offer library research instruction sessions that are tailored to your class needs, and will also create or update Class Guides.  During instruction sessions, librarians teach the fundamentals of how to find what Bailey Library has, how to evaluate information, how to use AI ethically and with a critical eye, and how to find resources we don't have access to.  Librarians can also work with students throughout the semester or year on advanced research projects and can offer general or specific advanced research sessions that focus on disciplinary databases.  These skills can be taught through class sessions or individual research appointments.  During a Research Support Session, a librarian works one-on-one with a student to develop research strategies for locating and incorporating materials in their research projects.
