Intellectual well-being generally refers to cultivating one’s
creative and mentally-stimulating interests. One who is seeking to maintain
intellectual well-being should seek out opportunities to engage in problem
solving and explore novel subjects to expand their knowledge.
Through cultivating intellectual well-being, one should seek
out opportunities to gain new knowledge and skills while also finding ways in
which they can share those knowledge and skills with others in order to improve
their communities. Those who work to improve their intellectual well-being
should experience a sense of competency in approaching more challenging
intellectual endeavors as well as a sense of agency within their community.
