o     Doug Blackmon’s documentary, Slavery by Another Name will be live screened at 8:00pm in Mills A MONDAY FEB 13TH (this is a Senate sponsored event, encourage everyone to go!)

o     

o     Archivist

o     The school’s archivist, Christina Thompson, is looking for student/student groups to submit anything that they think should be preserved in the Hendrix Archives.

o     If you need access to the archives (for research, or if you are interested in seeing the first Troubador from 1907/other Hendrix-related artifacts) contactthompsonc@hendrix.edu to make an appointment!

o     Hunter—Some bikes are being stored for extended periods of time, are taking all of the prime spots…can we do anything about this???

o     Dean will talk to Rick Sublett.

o      LaRonda—People are having trouble streaming the KHDX website…

o     CJ will talk to Knox.

o     Hunter—Can we get easier access to educator on the website (like…the first thing we see)

o     CJ—send comments/concerns (current students—resources)

o     Graham—Does Hendrix have a compost?

o     Emily: Students can bring scraps to the community garden where there is compost. We are not allowed to do compost collections in the dorms.

§     No transportation this year, a block and a half from the Front Street Apartments

o      Met this weekend to discuss the Profile switching publishers. Most were too expensive but we did fine one possible alternative, At Home Arkansas. They publish the Dem Gaz and were the closest match to our current budget. Just waiting for solid numbers to make a decision on.

o     Still don’t have new computers L ordered two months ago… cannot start work on the Profile until we have them…

o     Motion to accept Mike and Graham as the new student at large members on the Media Committee (to replace a student at large member who is not here this semester)

o     Environmental Concerns Committee with Emily Canon

o     Different free store: Teamed up with Heifer and the Chicken Club who will be having a bake sale to buy chickens for a family in need
