·      Andrew chesser – Lauren Whitmore has started compost, but it has been stolen! Have you SEEN it? Or if you like to get on board talk to her.

o   Dan reported that usually if it is not begun with a club or organization then physical plant might have taken it. Dan will be getting with Lauren Whitmore to discuss.

·      Extra Move OUT day! – but it has been addressed. We will look into next year. If you have an issue you can ask res life for extra time. It has to be reasonable!

IV. Departmental Liaison Reports

·      Physical plant – it is students responsibility to clean the grill of front street.

o   However, if it needs to be fixed for any reason, Physical Plant will take care of that.

    • BIKE REVOLUTION
      • Representatives are here!
      • These are to go with the Orange Team at the Library.
        • Long Term and Short Term check outs.
          • 3 to 4 days – short term
          • couple of months – long term
      • They are for anyone.
      • The MONEY????
        • Bikes right now were salvaged. But we want something that will have less maintaince.
        • We want a bike that will last.
      • Demand
        • Bikes are usually all out.
      • Money Granted ???
        • We could have them out by next Monday
      • Use your own money???
        • We are using that for paid position and a sign for the shop
      • What about changing the number of bikes in the proposal
        • Definitely need 5 to change ones out that are falling apart.
      • Concern about long term?
        • After long term pilot program we dump the rest in the big short term program
      • $1499.75 for five bikes!

    • Discretionary is ABOUT $12,000 minus bikes, now.

    • ONE: draw numbers are OUT! And housing picks start next week
    • Off-Campus approval out – 146 were approved.
      • Waiting list is 16.
      • In comparison we put out more.
    • Media Center Student Workers not being trained well enough. Jim is working on it: Media Center realizes that they are not trained well enough. They are working on it. Jim will follow up on that.
  • Environmental Concerns Committee with Dan Gibbens-Rickman
    • Katherine HERE: energy competition starts now to april 23rd.
      • Signs will be put up.
      • Dorms – JUST DORMS for this year
  • Media Committee with Taylor Adams
    • Khdx is streaming.
    • Concert on April 2nd is Clipse
    • Hosting Interviews this week in the video room and Hannah Sinetak will be present through skype
    • Next week will long because of presentations to be given by Taylor about options next year for each of the Media Committees
    • PROFILE!
      • Where is it?
        • It didn’t come out next week. Log Cabin changed their policy so we are waiting for the business office to cut a check.
      • Can we trust them to put the Profile to put out the rest of what they are responsible for?
        • WE are working on that – meeting Saturday to where it is going.
      • Publishing?
        • Having so many problems.
        • What is going on?
          • Going back and forth with publishers, having miscommunications.
          • The new policy with the Log Cabin will help us with keep up with money.
      • Taylor is taking this very seriously – students feel that we pay for them to produce these papers and there needs to be a COMMITMENT to get it done

  • Social Committee with Jake Eddington And Will Phillips
    • CK event Singing Bee on Thursday – show that comes on the tv. Pick people out of the audience that want to participate to finish songs. More details to come

      • Main fundraising week. All money that is raised goes to local charities. GOAL: $65,000
    • GET ALL OF MONEY THINGIES!!!
    • PARENT MAILOUTS ARE STILL BEING EXPECTED!!
  • Academic Policy with Ruanda McFerren
    • First meeting talked about
      • Not many students maymester registered
      • Faculty appreciation day April 22nd.
        • Honor retiring faculty members.
        • Maybe majors being personally invited for what the professor
      • Team Taught Class
        • Are we interested in these classes?
        • Two professors that teach the class together.
        • Ruairi’s experience – disjointed!
      • Buhler – become an academic building, but is taking proposals.
      • Hulen will probably be torn down the year after next.
        • And then green space.

Event Details:

 Hendrix Italian Club would like to present the film, Roman Holiday¸ in order to promote Italian culture and history. This will be the Italian Club’s first public event as an official Hendrix organization. Roman Holiday is a beautiful production that shows much of the landscapes, people, and historical monuments of Rome. Also, it stars Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck, so it should be a popular attraction for the Hendrix community

Hendrix Bailey Library Checkout Bikes – Bikes Direct

                        Motobacane Single-Speed (5): $299.95

                        Motobacane Dawes SST (5): $299.95

                                                $2,999.50 - $25/bike (school discount)

           Note: This discretionary request is for 10 bikes for the Hendrix Bailey Library bicycle checkout program, with 5 bikes (Motobacane Single-Speed) to serve as standard checkout bikes (three days) and 5 bikes (Motobacane Dawes SST) to be used as long-term (semester or year) checkout for students who wish to pay a rental fee.  These bikes will be property of Hendrix Bailey Library and maintained by Hendrix Bicycle Revolution in the Hendrix Bike Shop.  We will get as many bikes as we can with the funded allotted up to the total about (though the $25/bike discount is only for ten or more bikes).
