Name Changes
Students and employees can request to change their preferred name in most campus systems. Changing your preferred name will also change the display name in Microsoft Outlook (email), Teams, and other Microsoft programs used by the college. While it will not change your email address, it will change the name that is displayed when you send and email to someone.
Please note that this name change will not show up on all campus documents and systems, such as bills, financial aid documents, etc. You will need to provide proof of a legal name change for those items to be changed.

All Gender Restrooms
While many campus buildings are not equipped to accommodate updates to restroom facilities, many of the newer campus buildings have all-gender restrooms and/or private/single gender restrooms. In fact, the administration made a commitment in 2017 that all new campus buildings will have all-gender restrooms.
The following buildings are equipped with private/single gender restrooms:
Student Life & Technology Center (there is a private restroom/shower on the 2nd floor)
Dawkins Welcome Center (there are several single/private restrooms for all genders)
Galloway Hall (there is a private/single restroom on the 1st floor near the lobby)
Miller Creative Quad (all restroom/shower facilities are private/single spaces)
Market Square South (this residence hall contains all private/single gender restrooms/showers)
Student & Employee Insurance
While our student & employee insurance policies do not currently cover gender confirmation surgery, it does cover hormone replacement therapy. Please contact Human Resources if you need more information.
