In 2009 Hendrix entered into a partnership with the William J. Clinton Foundation on behalf of the Consortium members. The Foundation provided a generous grant has funded:
- student selection trips
- out of pocket medical expenses
- administrative expenses
- leadership development and co-curricular opportunities for the Presidential Scholars through training, symposia, and retreats
- scholarships for students enrolled in our study abroad and internship program
President Clinton and his Foundation actively support numerous development and health care initiatives in Africa, and Rwanda in particular. We are very pleased to have their support and encouragement for our programs.
