Fellow Alumni,
Greetings from the Hendrix College Alumni Association Board of Governors! It is my honor and pleasure to serve as the 2025-2026 AABoG board chair and steer a dedicated, passionate group of alumni who represent graduation classes spanning 60+ years, an array of professions, and a variety of geographies. I encourage you to discover more about these 37 individuals on this webpage below.
Over the course of the next many months, the board aims to uplift the College and partner with other institutional stakeholders – including alumni, students, staff, faculty, administrators, trustees, and the public – to ensure that our beloved alma mater is positioned for success as we sail towards and reach our sesquicentennial year in 2026. We will accomplish this through the efforts of the board’s standing committees, which focus on everything from admissions and development to events and student engagement. Unique this year, the Affinity Groups ad hoc committee – chaired by Maradyth Hopper McKenzie ‘06 – will consider ways for alumni to reconnect and engage around common interests and activities similar to what we may have experienced as students; think student organizations and clubs but for adults. Stay tuned for more to come on this promising development!
This is an exciting moment in the College’s long history – from residence hall renovations and forward-thinking food service options to innovative student & faculty projects and award-winning alumni – and I hope you will help us shape and expand that optimistic spirit. Please attend upcoming events this year like Homecoming/Family Weekend in October & Alumni Weekend in April; donate your time, talent, and treasure through volunteer opportunities and fundraising campaigns; and share the good news about Hendrix far and wide. Let’s show that Warrior pride!
All 15,000+ members of the Hendrix College Alumni Association owe who we are today to this special place and its people. We have much to celebrate, and we will. I hope you will join us as we embark on this journey into Hendrix College’s next 150 years!
With gratitude,

Rip Weaver ’06 2025-2026 Board Chair Hendrix College Alumni Association Board of Governors
