During the summer of 2005, two students, Xóchitl Delgado and Mandee Harden, investigated local Hispanic culture and noted their findings at this link. This project received funding through the Odyssey office. There are many opportunities listed here to experience a taste of Hispanic culture without leaving home. |
| During the 2006 spring semester, three of our students presented original research at the Latin American Studies Symposium hosted at Birmingham Southern College in April. Taylor Bradley, Xóchitl Delgado, and Nathan Thompson were accompanied by Dr. Contreras-Silva on a road trip to Birmingham. |
