Spring Concert Features Chamber Orchestra, Award-winning Pianist, Dance Ensemble

CONWAY, Ark. (April 5, 2018) – The Hendrix College Chamber Orchestra, Dr. Karen Griebling, conductor, and the Hendrix College Dance Ensemble, Professor Brigitte Rogers, director, will present a Spring Concert for Earth Day on Monday, April 23, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. in Staples Auditorium. The program is free and the public is invited.

The concert will feature the winner of the Annual Concerto and Aria Competition, Sam Melhorn ’20, performing the Piano Concerto in A Minor, Opus 16 by Edvard Grieg.

Also on the program will be selections from Peer Gynt by Edvard Grieg, and the premiere of the ballet MIDAS, with choreography by Brigitte Rogers and music by Karen Griebling.
