Stanley gave an invited talk, “’Size Matters’ . . . or Why Policy is Routinely Disappointing,” at the Economic Policy Workshop at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia.
While at Deakin University, he also gave an invited lecture, “Meta-Regression Analysis of Research,” at the School of Business and Law’s Workshop on Meta-Analysis.
Stanley gave an invited keynote lecture, “Meta-Analysis in the Social Science: An Introduction,’ at the “Frontiers of Transition Economics” conference at Kyoto University in Kyoto, Japan. The workshop was sponsored by the Kyoto Institute of Economic Research.
Stanley gave a meta-analysis seminar at the Institute of Economic Research at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo.
Over the last seven years, Hitotsubashi University professor Iwasaki has led a group of eight professors throughout Japan to master meta-analysis using Stanley’s book Meta-Regression Analysis for
Economics and Business and several of his papers as the subject of their monthly discussions. This research group has now produced over 10 meta-analyses.
Both Kyoto Institute of Economic Research and the Hitotsubashi Institute of Economic Research are seeking international cooperation with the
Meta-Analysis of Economics Research—Network (MAER-Net) at Hendrix.
