Hendrix Hosts Scientific Illustrator for Public Lecture

ManOwarPosterCONWAY, Ark. (September 29, 2016) – The Hendrix College Department of Art will host "Non-linear life: Meanderings of a Science Illustrator,” a lecture by alumna artist Catherine Wilson ’03 on Friday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m., in Art Building A, A110.

A freelance scientific illustrator and professional artist, Wilson graduated from Hendrix in 2003 with a degree in biology. In 2009, she received a master’s certificate in science illustration from the University of California Santa Cruz. Wilson is Guild of Natural Science Illustrators member and her clients include Electronic Publishings Services, NOAA, NASA at Ames, Scientific American magazine, and the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
