Chastain, Halliday and Sanford served on the AMUN staff this year because of their outstanding work at last year's conference.

“The students worked very hard getting ready for this year’s conference, and I was very pleased with their hard work in Chicago” said Dr. Daniel J. Whelan, Associate Professor of Politics and International Relations and Chair of the Department of Politics & International Relations. “I am especially proud of the students who won awards this year. It’s been several years since we won awards in any of the GA main committees – those simulations are particularly difficult – and it has also been several years since we captured an Overall Best Delegation award. I’m hoping several of these outstanding students will return as Model UN Mentors next year.”
