CONWAY, Ark. (December 18, 2014) – Hendrix is ranked 63rd
on Kiplinger’s “Best Values in Colleges” list of private liberal arts colleges.
The
list is calculated using data from Peterson’s and Kiplinger’s own reporting and
narrowed down based on academic quality. Schools are then ranked based on cost
and financial aid data.

Hendrix also ranked 128th on the combined
list of 300 best values, which Kiplinger’s compiled for the first
time this year to show how the top liberal arts colleges, private universities
and public colleges compare against each other. Hendrix is the highest-ranked
Arkansas institution in the combined list and the only Arkansas institution to
appear in the best value liberal arts college list.
“This is a wonderful endorsement of our
mission to keep Hendrix affordable for all students,” said Hendrix President
Dr. Bill Tsutsui. “Not only do students get a
world-class education at Hendrix, we work with families to keep it within reach
financially. And when you consider
the success of our graduates throughout their lives, Hendrix really is one of
the best values in higher education and best investments that students and
families can make.”
Kiplinger’s recognition of Hendrix as a
best value comes after last week’s announcement that Hendrix will
cover 100 percent of demonstrated financial need for qualified Arkansas high
school seniors through a new initiative called the Hendrix Arkansas Advantage.
