CONWAY, Ark. (June 1, 2009) – A large crowd of Conway residents attended the first public viewing of The Village at Hendrix, Arkansas’s only New Urbanism community that will incorporate single family residences, restaurants, businesses, and student apartments into a walkable community.
The event was featured by the Little Rock-based Fox 16 news and by The Log Cabin Democrat in Conway.
Two large buildings that will incorporate commercial development on the first floor and student apartments on the second, third and fourth floors are nearly completed and will open in August when students return to campus. The apartments were assigned through the residence selection process in the spring and will include mostly junior and senior students.
The first single-family home, purchased by Pattie Howse of Conway, is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
