Residential Life Area Coordinator

The Area Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development and administration of a comprehensive residence life program for two male halls, one co-ed building, and a suite-style community. The Area Coordinator fosters the development of students as individuals and as members of a residential community. This is achieved through extensive student contact in settings within and outside of the residence halls; supervising 15-20 Resident Assistants; serving as an advisor to Hall Councils; and chairing several Residence Life committees through out the year. The Area Coordinator enhances the residence hall communities through the management of administrative functions and facilities needs. He/she reports to the Director of Residence Life and serves as an active member of the Student Affairs staff

The qualified candidate will possess a strong understanding of the development of traditional students and will actively support the liberal arts mission. They will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, be a creative and enthusiastic team member, and take initiative and leadership within an organization. Appreciation and understanding of diverse individuals and groups is essential. A Bachelors degree is required (Master's preferred).

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and includes a furnished 2-bedroom apartment, a full meal plan, professional development support, and full college benefits.
