Hendrix Dining Services Brings Home Grand Prize from National Conference

National Association of College & University Food Services recognizes Hendrix in Special Event category

CONWAY, Arkansas (July 31, 2023)—Hendrix College Dining Services has long been known for its tradition of excellence, and now has yet another recognition to add to the team’s list of honors: The 2023 Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards Grand Prize for Residential Dining – Special Event. This and other Grand Prize Awards were announced at a luncheon during the recent National Association of College & University Food Services (NACUFS) National Conference.

Hendrix Dining Services holds several special themed events each year, often in connection with a holiday; this year’s October event was modeled after the popular streaming series “Stranger Things” to give Halloween a pop-culture twist.

“The award does confirm what we know about our Dining staff: They are a creative and energetic group that works together like a family to provide a great dining experience with wonderful food every day,” said Tom Siebenmorgen, executive vice president for finance and chief financial officer for the College. “When they do something special for our diners, it is exciting to be a part of it.”
