Hendrix College will work in conjunction with the Arkansas Department of Education and other charter school support groups to provide quality leadership in all charter schools in Arkansas. As a result, the Hendrix College Charter School Leadership Institute will address the following goals and objectives:
Goal 1
To disseminate information, conduct research, and provide high quality, ongoing professional development training for current charter school leaders
Objectives:
- Develop a website for the Charter School Leadership Institute
- Develop informational pamphlets, an email List Serve, and other communication devices for the Charter Leadership Institute
- Provide intensive training in research-based effective school leadership principles (See Research-based Effective School Leadership Principles for Charter Schools)
Goal 2
To identify, recruit, and provide professional development training for prospective charter school leaders
Objectives:
- Develop and maintain a log of potential charter school leaders
- Provide information sessions for prospective charter school leaders
- Provide intensive training in research-based effective school leadership principles (See Research-based Effective School Leadership Principles for Charter Schools)
