Giving

The need for endowed scholarships at Hendrix College continues to grow. In 2000-01, Hendrix awarded $3.8 million in scholarships and financial aid.  By 2003-04, the College was awarding more than $7 million a year in financial assistance to students. You can endow a scholarship in honor of a loved one, a favorite professor, or you can add to an already established scholarship.

For a gift of $10,000 or more, you will:

  • Endow a scholarship in a name of your choice, which will pay a portion of a student's tuition each year
  • Establish your preference for a specific academic area, grade average, geographic area, United Methodist student, or some other aspect of the scholarship
  • Receive letters of thanks from the student(s) who receive your scholarship
  • Receive recognition on campus with a permanent plaque
  • Receive recognition in the Annual Report each year you contribute to your scholarship
  • Know that you are helping educate the future leaders of our society

For a gift of $300,000 or more, you will:

  • Endow a scholarship in a name of your choice, which will pay the FULL tuition cost of a student each year
  • Establish your preference for a specific academic area, grade average, geographic area, United Methodist student, or some other aspect of the scholarship
  • Receive letters of thanks from the student(s) who receive your scholarship
  • Receive recognition on campus with a permanent plaque

  • Know that you are significantly helping to educate the future leaders of our society
