Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is the recognizable industry standard for sustainability. There are several levels of certification including a basic-level certification to platinum-level which represents the ultimate in environmental sustainability.
In our design process, we had many choices regarding appropriate environmental features for the College and this project. Each decision represents a mix of philosophical commitment, reasonable measures within the building, and balance of cost. This checklist provides a quick overview of the areas where points were awarded.
