Hendrix College is pleased to announce Quincy Davidson as vice
president for advancement. A seasoned leader in higher education philanthropy
and alumni engagement, Davidson brings nearly two decades of experience
building philanthropic support and strengthening institutional relationships.
He will begin his new role this summer.
Davidson joins Hendrix from Boston University where he led a
major gifts team focused on regional, athletics, and parent philanthropy. Prior
to that, he held several leadership positions at Ithaca College, including interim
vice president for philanthropy and engagement. In that role, he oversaw
advancement services, alumni engagement, and development efforts during a
transformative period marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and institutional
restructuring. His leadership at Ithaca helped foster deeper alumni connections
and significantly increase philanthropic support during a critical time.
“Quincy brings an impressive track record of driving
philanthropic growth, building meaningful relationships with alumni and donors,
and leading high-performing teams,” said Hendrix College President Karen
Petersen. “His broad experience and strategic approach to advancement will be
an asset as we look to the future and position Hendrix for continued success.
I’m excited to welcome him to our leadership team.”
Davidson’s previous roles also include vice president for business
development at the Purdue University Alumni Association, where he led
revenue-generating initiatives for a network of more than 600,000 alumni. He
has held leadership positions with the Purdue College of Liberal Arts and
Purdue University Fort Wayne and began his career in enrollment management,
serving colleges and universities across the Midwest and New England.
“I’m honored to join Hendrix College and to support its
mission of cultivating lives of accomplishment, integrity, service, and joy,”
said Davidson. “As a former college student-athlete who personally benefited
from the generosity of others, I understand how transformative philanthropic
support can be. I look forward to working with President Petersen, the
advancement team, alumni, and friends of the College to help Hendrix thrive for
generations to come.”
Davidson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, French,
and Sports Administration from the University of Indianapolis and a Master of
Management in Higher Education Administration from Robert Morris University. He
is currently completing an Ed.D. in Education Leadership and Innovation from
Purdue University Global.
