Hendrix College announces Vice President for Advancement Quincy Davidson

Quincy DavidsonHendrix College is pleased to announce Quincy Davidson as vice president for advancement. A seasoned leader in higher education philanthropy and alumni engagement, Davidson brings nearly two decades of experience building philanthropic support and strengthening institutional relationships. He will begin his new role this summer.

Davidson joins Hendrix from Boston University where he led a major gifts team focused on regional, athletics, and parent philanthropy. Prior to that, he held several leadership positions at Ithaca College, including interim vice president for philanthropy and engagement. In that role, he oversaw advancement services, alumni engagement, and development efforts during a transformative period marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and institutional restructuring. His leadership at Ithaca helped foster deeper alumni connections and significantly increase philanthropic support during a critical time.

“Quincy brings an impressive track record of driving philanthropic growth, building meaningful relationships with alumni and donors, and leading high-performing teams,” said Hendrix College President Karen Petersen. “His broad experience and strategic approach to advancement will be an asset as we look to the future and position Hendrix for continued success. I’m excited to welcome him to our leadership team.”

Davidson’s previous roles also include vice president for business development at the Purdue University Alumni Association, where he led revenue-generating initiatives for a network of more than 600,000 alumni. He has held leadership positions with the Purdue College of Liberal Arts and Purdue University Fort Wayne and began his career in enrollment management, serving colleges and universities across the Midwest and New England.

Davidson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, French, and Sports Administration from the University of Indianapolis and a Master of Management in Higher Education Administration from Robert Morris University. He is currently completing an Ed.D. in Education Leadership and Innovation from Purdue University Global.
