Office of Communications Staff

Rob O'Connor, a 1995 Hendrix graduate, joined the Development Office in 2006 as Director of Foundation Relations before transitioning to the College's communications team. He is a Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Gold Award and International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Arkansas Bronze Quill Award winner. A former print journalist, he was recognized by the Arkansas Press Association and Arkansas Associated Press Managing Editors and was named the 2006 U.S. Small Business Association Arkansas Small Business Journalist of the Year. He earned a master's degree in professional and technical writing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is a 2013 Faulkner County Leadership Institute graduate and a current board member of the Conway Downtown Partnership and Conway Public Schools Foundation. 

Amy Forbus, a 1996 Hendrix alumna, joined the Office of Communications in June 2017. She manages the College's communications and media relations, and works with offices and departments across campus on multi-platform messaging, brand and reputation management, and aligning communication strategies with institutional goals. Before returning to Hendrix, she served nearly seven years as editor of the Arkansas United Methodist , where she was recognized for award-winning writing and photography. Her previous experience includes feature writing and managing digital communications for a national weekly publication, handling media relations for technology services clients, and copywriting for a full-service advertising agency.
