Current projects

Board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in reconstructive microsurgery to restore form and function to individuals impaired by the surgical treatment of cancer. Special clinical interests include autologous (microsurgical) breast reconstruction and supermicrosurgical approaches to the treatment of acquired lymphedema. Academic interests include introduction of new technology for intraoperative advanced visualization of microvascular perfusion and lymphatic flow, surgical outcomes research, and patient satisfaction following breast reconstruction. Member of American Society of Plastic Surgeons and American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery.

Undergraduate Research

I helped Dr. Goodwin with sesquiterpene research, bench research, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.

How Hendrix prepared me for success

I developed a firm grasp for the scientific method, ethical behavior in academics, and technical writing skills.

Future plans

Continue to provide the highest level of care to patients using state-of-the-art techniques, lifelong learning through collaboration with physicians and scientists around the world, and advancement of my own field using evidence-based medicine.
