Where Can I Fax On Campus?

There are no longer any fax machines on campus.  We now use Fax2Mail for sending faxes.  

Students & Employees

Please contact an Administrative Assistant in your area to assist you in sending or a fax.  (Faxes are pretty rare at this point, so please be patient if the process has faded from their memory.  If they need a refresher, please share this article with them and ask them to call HelpDesk on Teams or phone (x1340) and say "Fax Question for Cindy."

Employees

If you are a Hendrix employee and want to be enabled to send faxes, please send an email to HelpDesk and paste this into the subject line:  Please enable me to send faxes in the Fax2Mail system.

If you are enabled to send a fax, here are the steps, followed by a short video demonstration of the steps.

  1. Start a new email message
  2. Attach the documents you wish to send as faxes.  Multiple documents can be attached to a single email, and most common file types are supported.
  3. In the "To:" field of the email, enter the recipient's fax number (with country code) followed by @fax2mail.com. 
    • For example, the complete "To:" address should appear as 14043331234@fax2mail.com 
    • Do not include any dashes, spaces or special characters in the address.
  4. The body of the email message you send, will be your cover sheet.  The documents you attached will be the pages of the fax.
  5. Send the email.
  6. You will receive a delivery report with the status of your fax.  It can take up to 30 minutes for your fax to be sent.  If you do not receive an email confirmations, contact HelpDesk to confirm if you are an enabled sender in Fax2Mail.

Receiving a fax

To receive a fax, you will need to contact an Administrative Assistant in your area to get a "Fax number" to share with the Sender, and the Administrative Assistant can receive the fax for you.  Once they receive the fax, they can forward it to your email or print it out for you to pick up.
