The First-Year Foundations course is a full-credit course for all new students at Hendrix. The course builds a strong foundation for personal, academic, and professional growth by exploring the resources and values that shape life at Hendrix, communicating through classroom discussions and written assignments, developing strategies for academic success, and thinking about their long-term goals and interests. These aims are accomplished through readings and conversation, reflective and collaborative activities, and active engagement across our diverse campus community. This course is led by faculty or staff members and is supported by peer mentors.
