Each student is subject to the Collegiate Center, major, and minor
requirements of a single Catalog year. The governing Catalog year is
assumed to be the year in which the student matriculated at Hendrix College,
though students generally may choose the requirements of any Catalog year
during the period of their enrollment. Students who matriculated prior to
Fall 2026, however, are limited to declaring a Catalog year from their
period of enrollment before the 2026-2027 academic year. If a student wishes to
change the Catalog year that determines their graduation requirements, they may
do so by declaring that choice with the Registrar’s Office.
In situations where the faculty adopt significant revisions to a major or
minor, course substitutions may be approved by the appropriate department or
program chairs, in consultation with the Registrar, to minimize the
difficulties created by the changes.
All students, regardless of Catalog year, are subject to the academic
policies and procedures in effect in the most current Catalog. Students and
advisors with questions should consult the Registrar’s Office for
clarification.
