How To Manually Configure Wireless for Students and Faculty

When asked to input your username and password, your username should be the same as your email but without the, and your password is the same.

Example: If John Smith’s email was, then their username would be smithjj and their password would be the same one they use for their email.

Before manually configuring a wireless network, you must first forget the network on your device if you have used it previously on the device. To do this, click here.


* Wireless supported in campus housing is 802.11ac, n, and g. Traditional Residence Halls also support WiFi 6 (802.11ax).

** You will not usually be asked for the encryption method.
