  • Guidance for In-Person Visit

In the interest of the wellbeing of our students, faculty and staff, guests are expected to adhere to the following:

    • Face coverings (e.g., mask, plexiglass face shield, etc.) are required in public (indoor and outdoor). Visitors who arrive on campus without a mask will be provided one from the Office of Admission.
    • Physical distancing of six feet is always expected whenever possible in classrooms, meeting rooms, laboratories, and offices.

Guests will be required to partake in a brief CoVID-19 screening. Upon entry into the Dawkins Welcome Center, staff will deny entry to:

    • Visitors who have ≥ 100.4˚ F temperature
    • Visitors who answer yes to any of the following
      • Do you have a cough, shortness of breath, or any other symptoms typical of CoVID-19?
      • Have you had contact with a person known to be infected with CoVID-19 within the previous 14 days?

At this time, the following modifications have been made to our visit program:

    • Faculty and administrative meetings may be scheduled using Teams but will not be scheduled in-person
    • Visitors will not be able to enter the Residence Halls
    • Overnight stays will not be facilitated
    • Prospective students will not be able to visit classes

Visits to campus must be scheduled. You can schedule a visit to campus at hendrix.edu/visit.

    Alternatives to an In-Person Visit

If you are unable to visit in-person or would prefer not to travel, we are still available to “meet” with you. To see a list of our interactive virtual events, videos showcasing different aspects of our campus, and other ways you connect with members of our admission staff and campus community go to hendrix.edu/virtualexperiences.

      Applying to Hendrix

In light of COVID-19, if you are trying to complete your application to Hendrix College and do not have a way to have an official high school transcript sent in because your high school is closed or your high school college counselor is unable to do so at this time, please go ahead and send us an unofficial transcript. If you deposit and become a member of the Hendrix Class of 2024, you will need to provide an official transcript over the summer. ACT/SAT Cancellations

Students who are concerned about the effect of ACT/SAT cancellations will be happy to learn more about the College's test optional policy. For students entering college in 2021, the College will also relax all test requirements related to the Hays Memorial Scholarship Weekend. All students will be considered to participate in the weekend, which is an invitation only event. Invites will go out in mid-December.
