Hendrix College is committed to educating students about sexual misconduct and relationship violence and reducing incidents through effective programs, fair policies, and sensitive treatment of any students involved in a gender-based misconduct incident. If you are sexually assaulted, experience other forms of sexual misconduct or relationship violence, or if you know someone who has been, please utilize campus resources for assistance.
Students who wish to file complaints against the conduct of other community members should contact the Dean of Students Office. The Dean of Students Office can provide a detailed explanation of procedures for filing complaints. The College will respect the decisions of students who report alleged misconduct and will pursue campus adjudication only if requested by the student. Students may pursue legal channels off campus and/or campus judicial action.
Hendrix College believes in a zero tolerance policy for gender-based misconduct. When an allegation of gender-based misconduct is brought to the administration, and a respondent is found to have violated this policy, sanctions will be used to address the misconduct. All members of the community are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others. The Hendrix College Gender-Based Misconduct Policy has been developed to reaffirm these principles and to provide recourse for those individuals whose rights have been violated. This policy is intended to define community expectations and to establish a mechanism for determining when those expectations have been violated.
