CONWAY, Ark. (November 7,
2017) – The Hendrix College Chamber Orchestra will present its Thanksgiving
Concert on Monday, November 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Trieschmann Fine Arts
Building’s Reves Recital Hall.
Among the program selections
are Vivaldi’s Concerto for Mandolin and Strings, with featured soloist Dr.
Gabriel Ferrer, Cynthia Cook Sandefur Odyssey Professor of Computer Science. Other
works on the program include Holst’s St. Paul’s Suite; Haydn’s Symphony No.
101, “The Clock”; and “Middleham Triptych” by Karen Griebling for string
orchestra with piano.
