CONWAY, Ark. (November 26, 2012) - Award-winning sports columnist David McCollum of the Log Cabin Democrat paid tribute to the late Rev. Jon Guthrie in a recent column.
Guthrie, a 1956 Hendrix graduate, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17 in Conway. He served as chaplain of Hendrix from 1969 until he retired in 1996. Guthrie, often sporting a Hendrix baseball cap, was a loyal supporter of athletics at Hendrix.
