The Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences offers majors
in a rapidly growing field, which emphasizes human performance, sport management,
and public health. Departmental concentration areas will thoroughly prepare students
for post-graduate careers in fields which include personal training, sport management,
athletic administration, corporate fitness, exercise prescription, respiratory therapy,
or graduate school. Health science concentrations provide a solid scientific foundation
for specific graduate programs in the fields of occupational therapy, physical therapy,
nursing, physician assistant, or public health.
Currently the Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences is not accepting new students into the kinesiology major, the kinesiology minor, and the public health minor. New students will be able to choose a major in Health Sciences, although that program is being redeveloped and the requirements for the program listed below will undergo changes over the next few months.
