Celebrating its 41st year, the Hendrix Candlelight Carol Service is a traditional favorite to begin the Christmas season. The service presents the Christmas story through Scripture lessons and music.
The service is held in the Greene Chapel on the Hendrix College campus. The Hendrix College Choir will perform the service under the direction of Dr. Nancy Fleming. Among the selections of composers will be Felix Mendelssohn, John Rutter, William Mathias, Michael Praetorius, Healey Willan, Charles Callahan and David Childs.

The choir will also present two performances off-campus. Reservations are not required for these performances:
- Thursday, Dec. 15, at 7:30 p.m. at University United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Okla.
- Friday, Dec. 16, at 7:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Malvern, Ark.
