Hendrix College
is pleased to offer a program by the world-famous Guarneri String
Quartet on its Special Events 2009-2010 Program Series during the
quartet’s final season. These renowned artists have performed, toured,
and recorded together since 1965 and will come to Hendrix College to
perform Haydn’s String Quartet in G Minor, Opus 74, No. 3 “The Rider”,
Zoltan Kodaly’s String Quartet No. 2, Opus 10, and the String Quartet
in F Major by Maurice Ravel at 7:30 pm in Staples Auditorium on Sunday,
October 25, 2009. In addition, the Guarneri String Quartet will work
with music students in a Master Class at 2:00 pm in Reves Recital Hall
on Sunday, October 25, 2009. The evening concert will be followed by a
reception in Trieschmann Gallery. All three events are free and open
to the public.
