The program for the Hendrix College Music Department's Spring
Jazz Ensemble and New Music Recital will open with selections by Milt Jackson, Errol Garner, Rogers & Hart, Bonfa, and Rollins performed by the Hendrix College Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Barry McVinney. Student musicians with the jazz ensemble include Molly Harris, David Chaney, Sam Coker, Will Duran, John Tate, and Hayden Criswell. The second half of the concert will feature original solo and chamber works composed by student composers Quy Pham, Michael Crippen, Trevor Loew, and Maxim Van Houtte performed by their composers and student musicians Aiden Mannette, and Rachel Elmakiss, and faculty musicians Dr. Barry McVinney, Dr. Karen Griebling, and Dr. John Krebs. The program is free and the public is invited.
