Paid Volunteers
Needed for Research Study Examining Sleep, Work, and Social Relationships
When:
|
Data collection will occur from January 7th through
January 13th. Your date
and time of participation will be flexible around your schedule.
|
|
What will you get to do?
- We will send you a kit to
collect a small fecal sample (much like you would use for an at home colon
cancer screening) and a set of questionnaires about you and your sleep (≈4o
minutes).
- Shortly after, a researcher will contact you by telephone (≈7
minutes) to set up a time at your convenience to interview you in person about your
sleep, work, and social relationships.
We would also teach you how to fill out a sleep/wake diary and how
to use a Z-machine, a small electronic device that you sleep with in your
own home to measure your sleep (≈1 ½ hours).
- During the next two
nights, at bedtime, you will fill out a diary of your sleep-related
behaviors for the day, then you will sleep
in your own residence with the Z-machine. In the morning, you will complete a diary
about your sleep that night (≈30 minutes total).
- We will set up a convenient
time to return your materials and receive your incentive (≈5 minutes).
|
|
What will you get?
|
You
will receive $50 for completion of the study and self-knowledge about your
sleep.
|
|
