A discussion forum has been created using the program Educator. You can join the discussion by emailing mcdaniel@hendrix.edu and asking for a user name. In the email, please include both your first and last name, your email, and a username and password of your choice. The discussion board can be accessed by going to classes.hendrix.edu and typing in your user name and password. If you are a Hendrix faculty member, use the username and password that you use regularly to access Educator. If you are not a Hendrix faculty but a member of the advisory board, user names and passwords have already been created for you. Your user name is your last name and your password is your first name. Once you have entered Educator, you will see a class called "New Horizons." Click on "Enter Course." Once you enter the course, use the link on the left panel to enter the Discussion board.
Within the discussion board, there are two groups: advisory board discussion and general discussions. The first group is for advisory board members only. Ideas for Friday Afternoon Discussions have already been posted to this group. Please comment on these ideas by replying to the posts. The other group is for general admittance. Topics such as the idea of a spiritual dimension of science are open for discussion within this group. Other materials are going to be continually developed for your use off of the page.
