Hendrix Special Events

Hendrix Special Events Programs in the Fine and Performing Arts is a program that presents a variety of special artists and performances throughout the year. These performances are underwritten by an endowed fund established by alumni and friends of the College and are offered free to the campus community and to the public. No advanced tickets or reservations are required.

Each year the Hendrix Special Events schedules a variety of appearances by leaders in the fine and performing arts. Outstanding events of the past have included Bill Frisell, Turtle Island String Quartet, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, James 'Blood' Ulmer's Memphis Blood Featuring Vernon Reid, John Cale, Miama String Quartet, Urban Bush Women, Ballet Hispanico, Alejandro Escovedo, Howard Tate, Zuill Bailey, Marcel Marceau, The North Carolina Dance Theatre, Pilobolus, Pere Ubu, Garth Fagan Dance, The Mystic Arts of Tibet, The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Steven Petronio Dance Company, Lucinda Williams, T Bone Burnett and Sam Phillips, Van Dyke Parks, Richard Thompson, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, The National Theatre of the Deaf, The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, and Taj Mahal, Quartetto Gelato, Punch Brothers, Houston Ballet II, and the Indigo Girls.
