HOUSE AND STAGE INFORMATION

  •  Seats 816. Adjacent parking.
  •  Tractor trailer accessible loading dock, height 3'6".  Elevator from dock to stage level.  Dock doors width 7'8", height 7'9".
  •  16'0" A-frame ladder w/ 16'0" extension; 9'0" step-ladder
  •  Pit/Apron is semi-circular with a gray carpet cover.  Pit is -5'6" from stage floor.  Apron is manually adjustable to 0'0" or -2'0" from stage floor.
  •  All Masking (borders, legs, travelers) black velour with fullness.
  •  2 Scrims, full-stage sharks-tooth, one black and one white.
  •  1 Cabriole dance floor, reversible (black or gray).  42'0" wide, centered, (does not extend to offstage wall), from 1st Traveler to Back Traveler; 34'7" extends appx. 4' downstage of proscenium line.
  •  1 Speaking Podium with Mic input and Hendrix Seal on front.
  •  1 Steinway 9'0" Grand w/ concert bench, on wheels.  Stored offstage left.
  •  1 Big pipe organ.  Organ console stored offstage left.
  •  Orchestra Shell (10 segments) and Choir Risers (6 segments) stored offstage right.
  •  2 Dressing rooms backstage right, 1 at stage level, 1 at balcony level.  Each hold 6-8 people, has make-up lights and mirrors, a sink, and clothes bar.  Toilet, sink and showers adjacent.
  •  2 Greenrooms backstage right, stage and balcony levels.  11'0" x 20'0" partially obstructed by storage.
Directions to Staples Auditorium

  • On I-40 from Little Rock, take the 2nd Conway exit.  At the light turn right onto Hwy. 64 (Oak St.).  Get into the left lane and turn left onto Museum Rd., past the Waffle House and before the car dealerships.  At the stop sign, turn left onto Siebenmorgen Rd.  Take Siebenmorgen to the stoplight, then turn right onto Harkrider.  You can see Hendrix on your left.  Take the first left after the walk over bridge onto Winfield.  At the end of Winfield take a ¾ turn around the round-a-bout until you are facing south on Washington.  The college will still be on your left.  The third parking lot on the left is behind Staples and from there you can see the loading dock.
