Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded for academic achievement, leadership and service experience, and performance in the fine arts. Scores from the ACT and SAT writing tests are not considered when evaluating scholarship candidates.

Hendrix Achievement-Based Scholarships

Hays Memorial Scholarship

The Hays Scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years if the student maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and selects housing and meal plan options covered by the award

Hendrix Scholarship for Arkansas Governor's Distinguished Scholars (GDS)Accepted freshmen applicants who receive the $10,000 Arkansas GDSThe scholarship amount is determined each February for new students enrolling during the following fall. See Arkansas Governor's Distinguished Scholarship below

Hendrix College is pleased to provide a one-time $2,000 award to first-year recipients of the Arkansas Challenge Scholarship.  In subsequent years, the College will examine each student’s need and reassess its financial contribution to students on a case-by-case basis.  (Note: Students with full-tuition or higher awards are required to select an on-campus housing option to receive the $2,000 award.)

Hendrix College is a Collegiate Partner of Scholarship America and the Dollars for Scholars family of community scholarship foundations. Hendrix has agreed that Dollars for Scholars awards of up to $1,000 per student will not adversely affect scholarship funding provided by Hendrix.
