Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded for academic achievement, leadership and service experience, and performance in the fine arts. Scores from the ACT and SAT writing tests are not considered when evaluating scholarship candidates.

Hendrix Achievement-Based Scholarships

Hendrix Scholarship for Arkansas Governor's Distinguished Scholars (GDS)	Accepted freshmen applicants who receive the $10,000 Arkansas GDS	The scholarship amount is determined each February for new students enrolling during the following fall. Scholarship for National Merit, Achievement, and Hispanic Finalists	Accepted applicants who are selected as National Merit, Achievement, or Hispanic Finalists	$1,000	Finalists must name Hendrix as their first college choice	The scholarship is automatic upon notification from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (National Merit and National Achievement) and the College Board (National Hispanic) if the student is accepted
IB Diploma Recognition Award	Accepted applicants who are IB Diploma candidates	$1,000	IB Diploma candidacy must be confirmed by student's high school if not listed on the transcript	The scholarship is automatic upon IB Diploma candidacy confirmation if the student is accepted
Robert & Ruby Priddy Scholarship	Middle-income families	Varies	All accepted students automatically considered	FAFSA must be completed

Hendrix Odyssey Scholarship

Hendrix College is pleased to provide a one-time $2,000 award to first-year recipients of the Arkansas Challenge Scholarship. In subsequent years, the College will examine each student’s need and reassess its financial contribution to students on a case-by-case basis. (Note: Students with full-tuition or higher awards are required to select an on-campus housing option to receive the $2,000 award.) Hendrix College is a Collegiate Partner of Scholarship America and the Dollars for Scholars family of community scholarship foundations. Hendrix has agreed that Dollars for Scholars awards of up to $1,000 per student will not adversely affect scholarship funding provided by Hendrix.
