The Office of Financial Aid strives to establish partnerships with families.  We understand that each family offers a unique financial situation and we will work with you individually to help you find the resources to fund a Hendrix education. Hendrix is proud to be recognized as a “Best Buy” and “Best Value” by publications such as US News & World Report, The Princeton Review, and other college guides.  We think you will find that we will offer numerous resources and various options for college funding.   You can get started today by following this simple process:

     1. Apply for Admission
     2. Apply for extracurricular scholarships
     3. Complete FAFSA by Feb. 15, 2008 to be eligible for the FASFA early filers grant
     4. Receive Financial Aid Award letter
     5. Submit enrollment deposit and housing application by May 1, 2008
     6. Arrange financing options

Hendrix offers need-based and achievement-based aid. Need-based aid depends on a family's financial resources. Merit-based aid is awarded for academic achievement and particular talents. The different types of aid offered at Hendrix are as follows:

small arrow   Scholarships are awarded for academic achievement, leadership and service experience, and performance in fine arts.
small arrow Grants are awards that do not have to be repaid.
small arrow Loans require repayment, but typically not until after graduation. Loans frequently offer low-interest rates and long terms.
small arrow Other types of aid include student employment, which provides pay for work on campus and includes Federal Work Study, and United Methodist Aid, which offers awards to students who are United Methodist.
