The McHenry-Lane Mathematics Award, honoring the late Dr. Harry I. Lane and the late Miss Elizabeth McHenry, is offered to the freshman student with the highest achievement in the calculus sequence.
Miss Elizabeth McHenry taught mathematics at Hendrix College from 1958 to 1971.
Dr. Harry I. Lane taught mathematics at Hendrix College from 1937 to 1966. Dr. Lane served as natural sciences area head and mathematics department chair. Dr. Lane was a distinguished alumnus of Hendrix College.
