Constitution Day is Sunday, September 17. Hendrix College
will commemorate Constitution Day Monday, September 18, with a special forum
examining the upcoming Supreme Court case Masterpiece
Cakeshop v. Civil Rights Commission, the Colorado case examining whether a
bakery can be required by a state government to provide services to same-sex
couples. The forum is co-sponsored by the Bailey Library at Hendrix, Project
Pericles, and the Pre-Law Society, and will be facilitated by Jay Barth, M.E.
and Ima Graves Peace Distinguished Professor of Politics. Please join us in the
Learning Commons of Bailey Library at 4:10 p.m. on Monday, September 18, for a
discussion of this case and its future ramifications for religious liberty and
LGBTQ rights in the U.S. Supreme Court.
